These tools aren’t used in isolation or as quick fixes. Each modality is chosen intentionally, based on how your body is presenting and what will best support movement, comfort, and recovery. The goal is not just to feel better during the session—but to help your body respond better afterward.
Massage Therapy
This hands-on technique is used to assess, reduce muscle tension, improve tissue mobility, and influence the nervous system.
At Apex., massage supports recovery and movement quality to help your body move and feel more at ease.
Cupping
Using gentle suction to lift and decompress the tissue. This can improve local circulation, reduce tissue restriction, and provide sensory input to the nervous system that helps decrease pain and stiffness.
IASTM
Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) uses specialized tools to apply targeted pressure to muscles and connective tissue. It's especially helpful for addressing stubborn tightness, scar tissue, and areas with limited mobility.
Hot Stones
Heat is used intentionally to calm the nervous system, reduce muscle guarding, and increase circulation. Hot stones are incorporated when deeper relaxation supports better movement outcomes.
CARs
CARs are slow, controlled movements that take a joint through their available range. They support joint health, improve active mobility, and help maintain control at the edges of movement.
Isometric Training (PAILS & RAILS)
Using principles from the Functional Range Conditioning® system, PAILs and RAILs strengthen joints at end ranges of motion. These exercises help turn flexibility into usable strength, supporting joint resilience and long-term movement capacity..
